April Adventures Across Japan Phase 3: Profit!

Aomori Day 4: Hachinohe-Away!

Canada is big.

Very, very, big.

Google maps will tell you that it takes 28 hours to drive from Winnipeg to Vancouver. To drive out East, Winnipeg to Sydney Nova Scotia, Google Maps says 40 hours. The Trans-Canada Highway is over 3500 km long (closer to 3700 clicks).

Big.

With that in mind, you cannot imagine how happy it makes me to be able to drive to the seaside in just over an hour. Which is just what we did.

Our initial destination was the Hachiman shrine, but it looked kinda closed (I think it was seagull breeding season or summing... cuz... well... they were EVERYWHERE) and we really didn't wanna be shat on. So, we wandered down to the nearby beach, then moved my car so that it would not become black with white polka-dots.

We ventured down the coastal road in search of the ice cream joint I stopped at before the Hockey game with Mel & co last year.

Success.

Beautiful weather (albeit the usual coastal wind) and a beautiful view.

Afterwards, we stopped at the Aeon mall (since it was on the way), scored some more prizes and had dinner at Kappazushi in Towada. Mmmmm conveyor belt sushi... :9

Yuuuuuuuussssssss.
