Eegads!

... and suddenly we're up to our ears in December. Where does the time go!? I'm going to level with you folks, I'm feeling a little under the weather and have one more week of school visits (well, 4 more days now) before I have a week of office days. This past weekend was spent in bed watching movies (too sick to even go to the theater to see the Hobbit. Boooourns! Just a cold, though, nothing to worry about). I've got pics of some gatherings and mouthwatering food (even some dancing fish flakes! WTF?!), so just bare with me!

Dan's Nabe party

Dan was nice enough to host a gathering at his place before everyone went their separate ways for the holiday break. Once again, so muuuuuch food! But it was great to see everyone again! :) Chelsea and I crashed there for the night and had a nice, relaxing brunch with Dan the next day. He even made up his delicious apples and eggy bread breakfast delight! :9

Food food food food FOOD!

This month has been full of fantastical meals! Had a couple of 盆宴会 (year end party) with the office crew, we even went to the wilds Aomori City for one of them. You may have heard about an earthquake that hit off the east coast that day, well, we were on the road to the city and I just thought we were on a bumpy patch of road. Haha. Anyway, here are some pictures of food that I got to eat in celebration of 2012.

November highlights...

Wow, almost December already? Jeebus.

This month has been dotted with many drunken karaoke nights, which is great (I think), cuz I love to sing and there's awesome (and surprising) song selection here. I never thought I would ever sing Rancid or Goldfinger for karaoke. Who cares that it's midi file style musical accompaniment  I got to sing Time Bomb (and NoFX's Bob, there's also quite a few Nine Inch Nails songs in there, too, depending on where you go) and 99 Red Balloons. I went out with my friend Minako, from the BOE office a couple of times. We went for dinner with friends of hers and then out with Sakura-san who works in the drop-in type center upstairs from us. Both nights were delicious and song-filled... I have discovered I am able to sing Peggy Lee's Fever without much difficulty, which is nice when I'm with a different crowd. I've gotta figger out at least one Japanese song to do... I have a feeling it with be the opening theme from either Evangelion or Escaflowne. The Evangelion one seems to be available in more places...

Lake Towada

Sunday afternoon road trip to Lake Towada resulted in some pretty pictures...

We stepped outside after lunch and were treated to a sun shower...
