GAH! Sorry guys!

There's been a whole lotta schoolin' going on and a trip to Canada and my personal life... well... so... yeah. GOMEN!!! m(_ _)m

Here, have a gander at the recipes I submitted to the cookbook Tori is putting together:Cathie's super-easy-honey-garlic-chicken (Goes great w/ Cathie's super-easy-steamed-veggies)

Ingredients:
1 - chicken boob
2 - gloves of garlic (or more, or less, depending on what you dig)
2 - Tbsp (30 ml) runny hunny (or more, or less. Dig it.)
1 - Tbsp (15 ml) sesame oil

Method:
1. Chop up the garlic and the chicken.
2. Fry with the sesame oil on low heat.
3. Add honey when the chicken has cooked, but before it has browned (if you crank the heat, the honey will bubble and cause trouble... on your stove top).
Option: toss in leftover rice and mix it all aboot for some extra-goodness.

Cathie's Super-easy-steamed-vegetables

Ingredients:
1 - Metal colander full of chopped veggies. I like: sweet potato, carrots, zucchini, broccoli and bell pepper.
Seasoning (garlic powder, pepper, a sesame seed salad dressing etc)

Method:
1. Put water in the bottom of a pot that your mesh colander will sit atop without touching the bottom. Heat it.
2. Chop up veggies and add into the colander to steam
(keep in mind, some veggies steam more quickly than others, so stuff like carrots, broccoli stems and yam need more steam. Spinach and broccoli crowns not so much. Plus broccoli crowns crumble and get lost forever in the mesh if you put them at the bottom. *taps nose*)
3. Season or mix with Cathie's Super-easy-honey-garlic-chicken

Bite-sized-banana-bits

Ingredients:

1 banana
1/4 cup milk or yogurt

Method:

1. Give bananas a thorough smashing and mix in the dairy.
2. Freeze in ice cube trays or reusable popsicle tray. I got some really cool (HA!) ice cube trays at Village Vanguard and a reusable popsicle tray that makes 4 at a time at the Daiso/100 yen shop.
3. Enjoy! (great in oatmeal, as a quick and tasty cool snack or in your favourite cream/coffee liqueur.)

Option: Mix in some protein powder for a post-workout recovery treat.
